Our yoga teacher likes to keep us on our toes by introducing new ideas. The latest is retro walking. No, I hadn’t heard of it either.
Michael Mosley in his BBC Radio 4 podcast Just One Thing advocates it as something to incorporate into our daily routine.
And there is plenty of research to show that it really does benefit you both physically and mentally.
So, our weekly yoga session now includes some time walking backwards. And yes it does feel very different with all sorts of both physical and mental benefits. For me its improved posture.
