A summer delight

Another good old rose tree again more than 40 years old and still going strong.
Such a pleasure to see this one as I walked up my front path today. I needed a bit of a lift after spending 4 hours at the wood carving club making little progress other than in the wrong direction.
I am trying to carve the feather groups onto a woodpecker and today the knife had a mind of its own.
I'll get there but I am sorely lacking in tolerance of my mistakes.
