The Feast Day of Saint Richard.

I love the Prayer of Saint Richard.
"O most merciful Redeemer, Friend and Brother,
May we know Thee more clearly, Love Thee more dearly and Follow Thee more nearly
For ever and ever,
Amen."

Today I had a good walk to Cut Wood, after doing my morning tasks and feeding our cats.
The woodland was springing into life with daffodils flowering beneath the old beech and oak trees.
I love all animals, be they domesticated or wild ones. Please don't post any negative comments on my site about grey squirrels. It is upsetting. I was amazed to see many young and old grey squirrels running about happily and feeding. Young children enjoy seeing them. There are woodpeckers in the woods there and I saw a robin. Sadly the path alongside the park, Cut Lane, is full of water logged pot holes. It is not easy to walk there. It is a privately owned public path and the residents refuse to pay the expense of repairing it.
The weather is cold but sunny. There are showers now and again.
In the evening it felt so cold, like 4c even though it was 8c. The wind was a strong feature.
