Out for a walk

A walk up to and around Bryneglwys slate quarry in Abergynolwyn, Gwynedd. Supplier of slate to the National library of Wales and Westminster hall, on account of the quality of its slate.

What a life though - walk to work in the dark, work all day with just a candle, walk home in the dark. Despite this, the men reputedly were devout Christians, abstemious drinkers, members of choirs.

How they must have missed on demand TV, instagram and WhatsApp?!

More is not always more, he hypocritically writes on a made for social media photo site!

Trail run in Coed y Brenin this afternoon. I spent 8.5 miles looking forward to a hot shower and a cup of tea only to find the visitor centre shut at 4pm. Clearly know their Easter marketing strategy as the car park was still busy with people eager for a drink and a bite to eat, not to mention all the mountain bikers who would definitely have had some post ride hunger. Oh well, not the end of the world.
