Spring greens
A day without rain, and with some blinks of sunshine.
Out in the morning to take some ceiling lamps to a charity shop on Leith Walk which does accept electrical things. While waiting for it to open, a long conversation with a woman who started off asking about trees, then segued into asking how to update an obsolete Apple device .. when she didn't know what an operating system or a device driver is. Got to the "how do you know all this" question which I've had before in Edinburgh ..
Fortunately the shop keeper arrived, putting an end to the wait at the door for late opening.
Out again in the afternoon to walk by the Warriston path to the Water of Leith path and the Victoria swing bridge. The Coley park works look close to being finished; setts being replaced as we passed by. No swans on that section of the river, but there was a pair by the bridge; and three eggs on a nest with fresh straw in the corner by the bridge where there's been a successful nest before. Tram back from the Port of Leith stop.
Thank you all for the stars and hearts and congratulations on yesterday's blipday. 2190/365 = 6 , so it's approximately six years worth; with many back blips. The first blip was put up in 2013. @cyclops introduced me to Blipfoto, back before all the trauma of the Polaroid excursion.
I didn't start posting regularly until the autumn of 2018, when my mother died. It's a very enjoyable pastime and community, an exemplar of what social media can be. Long may we all continue posting and commenting, as well as paying our membership fees.
