On the Last Lap
It was a relaxing start to the day as we weren't booked in anywhere due to it being swimming lesson day. We had a leisurely breakfast and Euan went out in to the garden with the bubble wand for a while before continuing with his lego kit. Auntie Jenny had sent this particular one down with us after winning it in a recycling raffle, which sounded an excellent idea. It's a fire truck with lots of different compartments for storing fire fighting gear in. Euan has come back and forth to it all week and today he was on the final few pieces.
We left the house mid morning and accompanied Euan, who was on his bike, to the local park where we chased his skycopter all over the place and tired ourselves out. The park was a great place for the bubble wand and, at one point, an elderly couple passing by, paused whilst the gentleman sang us a rendition of 'I'm forever blowing bubbles.' Then it was back home for lunch ahead of Mum arriving from work and us heading out for the swimming lesson.
We go home tomorrow after what has been a busy, lovely week. More orienteering next weekend so I'm hoping to get back to catching up with you all, when I've finished processing another couple of thousand photos!
