The Fallen Tree

We went round the back of Skiddaw (as it's known) today to escape the crowds - and we did. I dropped Deb off at Mosedale and she ran over the fells to Hesket Newmarket, where I picked her up. I spent the time photographing. Sadly, the whole of the time she was running, it was overcast, but on the way home, we passed this lovely fallen tree, just as the Sun was out, so I managed to stop and get a few shots. Despite its appearance, it still gets in full leaf every year.
