Practising Pipers

Just had though - mmm not much to blip today - I heard piping on Leith Walk. This is pretty unusual as you normally don't hear pipers until you hit Princes St, so I decided to go and investigate. In Gayfield Square, there was a cohort of young males practicing in the small park. As I was walking down a woman in front of me picked up a bit of a skip in her step along to the music. A couple of people were leaning over the fence watching and burst into a small, but nonetheless genuine, applause when they finished. Jazz of course barked as well - a habit he picked up as a pup when we encouraged him to bark whilst we clapped at people running the marathon in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind. Now every time people clap - cue Jazz.
