Homes For Nature #1

The start of a new sporadic series!

The RSPB have launched a new campaign called Homes For Nature. You are going to be hearing a lot about it all over the place for the rest of 2013. There are going to be adverts galore about it.

Following on from the State Of Nature report the NGO's are launching an offensive to try and save our struggling wildlife. The idea is simple, why not help by building a home for wildlife in our back garden. From everything from bat boxes to bird boxes to log piles for bugs, there is something you can do. The link above is packed full of ideas.

This small spider is making his home in my bird feeding station at the moment. His place in the ecosystem in my garden is both predator and prey. So as you see just helping the small things helps the whole system of inter-relationships that goes on every day in your backyard.
