Junior Jack
One of the funniest sights in my back garden at the moment are the juvenile Jackdaws being fed by their parents.
We are all used to baby House Sparrows being fed by parents, but to see a bird the same size of its adult Jackdaw doing the begging wings back gesture always makes me smile.
This particular Junior Jack has been entertaining me most of the day. He is clumsy and keeps trying to land on the washing line and getting in a hell of a tangle. I almost had to go out and rescue it at one point as it was in such a knot.
It mother is keeping a watchful eye on it at times. They are quite wonderful parent birds.
I do love a corvid ...
