Opening Night….

A day out in London with my daughter. We went to the matinee of Opening Night starring Sheridan Smith. It was a really interesting production with great music, interesting effects including the use of cameras filming the cast and then big images of that on screens, plus a superb performance by Sheridan Smith…acting a very energetic part  and singing well. She must be exhausted after two performances in a day! Not so sure about the actual story though!

We walked from Waterloo to Shaftesbury Avenue as it was a nice day…18-20C.  it was so so busy, so many people everywhere..a combination of tourists, school holidays and various festivals in Trafalgar Square and still lots of people in Chinatown too.
Afterwards we got a bus as the streets were so crowded and had a nice meal in Wahacca on the Southbank looking out on the river.

Getting out of the train back home it was so quiet…great day out but good to get home too!
