The three sisters

I've loved these three cottonwoods for years. They grow in the irrigation ditches that flow through the prairie. Their roots must be deep. I pass them when I take the back way to my Mom's house. I went out for a visit this afternoon. I haven't seen her since they got back from the hospital at the beginning of the week.
The weather hasn't been too bad. It did snow this morning in town and the wind has been very strong and will probably get stronger this evening. The greenbelt clean up was cancelled and rescheduled for next Saturday. I went out for coffee instead with my friend who was going to clean with me. It was a much better choice :-)
