ABLE TO LEAP SLIDING PLAYERS IN A SINGLE BOUND!
It's high school baseball season and the weather finally cooperated. We were snowed out Sunday throughThursday but the grounds crew managed to get the diamond in good enough shape to play a double-header today.

The player in black (the home team---the good guys) attempted to steal home on a wild pitch. While the catcher was chasing the ball, he slid into home plate as the pitcher was covering the plate for the catcher. The pitcher got the ball from the catcher a little too late and the runner was safe and he did a little hurdle jump to avoid stepping on the runner. Wasn't that nice of him?

The good guys went on to win the game 10-0 in 5 innings. The usual number of innings in high school baseball is 7 but there's a "mercy rule" that allows for the game to stop if one team is ahead by 10 runs or more in 5 innings.

BEST IN LARGE!
