Swiftsure arrives at Tenterden

Under the watchful and seemingly casual eye of the signalman who is waiting to collect the single line tablet from the train crew.

I was undecided as to whether to post Swiftsure again as you saw the loco only yesterday at Rolvenden. As a compromise I’ve posted one of the band performing in the extras. It went well, better that the last gig where we nearly chucked in the towel. Still stuff that needs improving.

The Green Fun Day, hosted by the Railway in partnership with Plastic Free Tenterden, Sustainable Tenterden and Tenterden Town Council, seemed to be very well received.

In one marquee were many stands from local environmental organisations including the aforementioned Tenterden initiatives, Tenterden Wildlife Trust, Bumblebee Conservation, KESR Environmental and Sustainability Group, Sissinghurst Vegetable Garden Organic no dig and many others.

Face painting, quizzes and trails for children rounded off the entertainment and trains were running. And the sun was shining
