Spudland

Well what do you know but the sun shone and the wind blew warm and off to the allotment I did go! Far too windy for a burn unfortunately so I moved the pile of almost-dry, woody stuff and instead started to dig over this year’s potato bed. Still heavy, heavy soil though and too much like hard work so I packed that in and planted a couple of drills of seed potatoes in the dug-over bit. Nicola to be exact. Doesn’t sound like any more frost is likely, so they should be fine. Three more lots of spuds to put in but not for a while, the end of the month will do.
