Practice

The YouTube videos say to practice before eclipse day. 
1) I do not live in an area that will achieve “totality” - we will not get a complete eclipse here, only an 80% eclipse here. 
2) I have to go into the office. I am confident that if I bring my camera someone will desperately need to see me during the eclipse. 

Now, I’m bringing in the camera. I have my little solar sunglasses. I have my sun filter for the camera. I got them for the eclipse Oct 14, 2023 where we had such cloud cover I saw nothing. We’ll see what happens tomorrow. 

I started packing. Sam was sleeping downstairs. 

Lithuania is going to buy 3,000 drones for Ukraine and give $16 million for rehabilitation programs for wounded Ukrainian soldiers. It is going to send $38 million to the Czech effort to buy ammo. It is also going to help to train Ukrainian soldiers. 

There is a famous (no I never heard of them) Dutch band called Within Temptation. They worked with a Ukrainian rapper Oleksandr Yarmak to produce a single. All proceeds will help the Ukrainian army. They previously dedicated a song Raise your Banner to Ukraine and helped raise money for boats. 


Ukraine released a video of a drone seeing Russian military equipment at a gas station. They used the HIMARS system. Russia has less equipment now. At the end of the video the Russian military members are fleeing. 


The U.S., Switzerland, Norway, EU countries, Japan, and others are going to give over $700 million to de-mine Ukraine.
