The Thistle

I spent most of Saturday at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh, on a course on plant photography, taught by Liz Cole. Apart from having the RBGE as an amazing "classroom" it was great to have access to an expert to ask questions and pick up tips.

This is a thistle in the herbaceous border on the north side of the Gardens.
