Something resembling normality
It is sooooo good to be home. Bertie and I had a peaceful morning walk around the Quinish Estate with its wonderful old trees. The horse chestnut leaves were just unfurling and the oaks were showing a hint of green.
After making sure that Nick was warm and comfortable and had all he needed, I popped into the village to set up a display in the church in preparation for our Open Day tomorrow. We have advertised this to encourage folk to come along and find out about the changes we have planned, involving the removal of some pews. I picked up a few essentials at the village shop before returning home to accompany Bertie in his afternoon walk. We all enjoyed a relaxing evening before having an early night as I had had a tiring day. Hopefully just a few weeks until we gradually return to full normality.
