Spent the prior two days, mostly , trying to clean up  my flower beds before coming down to visit my sister. Hence two days of not posting  because I was non compus mentis  by night  .So got down here today and was trying to get some dove photos in my sister's yard. Her neighbor wanted me to come over to her yard since she had a lot of butterflies and a swallow nest with babies.And then this showed up - they thought it was a mocker , but it didn't quite look right and on closer inspection it turned out to be a loggerhead shrike. Which is a lifer for me.
