Laughing gull

They are everywhere on the beach - the only gulls I have seen on South Padre so far. Got here later than anticipated , condo is lovely but finding the check in was a source of frustration, largely assuaged by a large margarita with dinner. (Way larger than expected I  might add !) Long drive here from San Antonio , it is about 5-6 hours depending on whether you stop for lunch or not . We did , so got here around 6 ish . hoping to see a lot of birds tis trip as the water is still a chilly 69 F.
