Dear Green Place 29 - Cathkin Braes Country Park

I was planning on taking a landscape picture and had the wrong lens on when I spotted this tiny deer. I took this shot and he didn't seem too bothered by me so I tried to change the lens. Just as I was taking off the lens cap, I heard a group of mountain bikers shouting directions and heading towards me. The deer was off like a shot...

The park is the venue for the 2014 Commonwealth Games mountain bike races -- the new trails just opened earlier this year. Judging by the exhausted but grinning faces, they must be pretty good. There were loads of folk here this morning. Although no-one else came near this bit here again!

Quite a trek for a park photo, but a great place for a long wander in the fresh air with views all over Glasgow below.
