‘Not Spring Yet!’

This morning, I was volunteering at parkrun and was a Funnel Manager. 

Standing just past the finish line, I was struck by these trees in the distance. It may be springtime, but these desolate-looking specimens weren't showing it!

The Funnel Manager’s primary role is to ensure the smooth operation of the finish funnel, keeping runners and walkers in line after they cross the finish line so that their time is in sequence with the finish token they get at the end. 

But before that, we are responsible for ensuring the way ahead is clear when the event starts. Standing at about 400 meters, I also made a short video of everyone passing by. Everyone was very enthusiastic and happy at that point, and there were many friendly waves to the marshals. (extra)
