King of the Kingfish Boat Ramp

We hit a few garage sales this morning, but the garage sale season is winding down. Too many Northern snowbirds have gone home.

After the sales, and before settling in to watch the Masters Golf Tournament, I hit the shore.

Make no mistake, the blue heron is the king/queen of the Florida docks. With a swoosh and a squawk, they announce their presence and the other birds scatter. 

Lording their lordship
over the pelican and gull(y),
they might be considered
a bit of a bully.

But I still think they're magnificent.
