Perennial Issues

A couple of hours planting perennials on the embankment opposite the house. A neighbourhood effort of course; just our good luck that we’re the main beneficiaries.
Then off to meet the nephew, who is also a beneficiary - of Rog’s season ticket. I’ve never seen Hearts lose he chirpily declares; we promptly go 2-0 down within twenty two minutes - and against the bottom side, Livingston. But, glory be, we wake up and take them apart after that and go in 4-2 up at the interval.
Much much later, packing completed, we make our way to bed with the news that Iran has launched their much anticipated drone and missile attack on Israel. Oh Lordy.
