Clacton on Sea
Today's pic shows Rufus, Ralph and his woofer, Pip (Border Terrier dot in the distance) walking on the beach this afternoon. This particular area of Clacton, Martello beach (Martello tower in the distance) is the location of the Butlins holiday camp (1938-1983) where, as a very small person, while on holiday with Mum and Dad, I won First Prize in the Fancy Dress competition, dressed as an Ice Cream Sundae. To this day it is the prettiest of my certificates, much more so than any dreary academic achievement certification.
Today's weather is most certainly worthy of mention cos we had sunshine, torrential rain, hailstorms, and a constant bitterly cold blustery wind, all repeatedly and in any combination thereof, throughout the day, all bathed in a temperature of around 7ºC
A very enjoyable evening with Ralph and four of his mates for dinner and few pints in the local pub.
