Perilous Position

A kildeer decided to make her nest not three feet from the road. Good for my photograph to be so close, but one false move on behalf of a passerby and the nest could be toast. At least it's hard to spot, being well camouflaged, so hopefully predators won't find it.

Sometimes, when I've passed by, she does the broken wing act as a distraction. I have yet to capture that move.
