Boys Will Be Boys

A pair of male red-bellied woodpeckers chased each other around the trunk of a broken elm. I managed a few shots with both present, but I liked this frame with one at the top looking back at me.

A good enough shot, that I could have cropped in for a close up, instead opting for a wider view. Somehow, having him lower in the frame emphasises how high up he was. Perhaps 20 feet or so.
