Full Moon Visitor

On this full moon night, I'm honored with the visit of a Tegenaria domestica, barn funnel weaver spider. Such a beautiful spider. This one was perched on my bathroom door. I'm pretty sure this one is female based on the leg:body ratio. She's about half an inch in body size with a diameter including legs of well over 2 inches, if not 3. Quite large to be in the house! I never kill spiders though and especially not in the house. That's terribly bad luck, if one is superstitious. And if you aren't superstitious, well leaving spiders alone in the house is smart because they eat all the other bugs and insect pests that might find their way into your humble abode.
