A clear sky with tones of gold. The Beaver Road footbridge reflected in the river. Just heavenly.
On a practical note, the mountains of water weeds removed from the river, following the copious rain of late last week, have been scooped up and trucked to a safe place beside the Wairau River. The weeds will rot down very quickly and will become compost and allow appropriate plantings in that area. It is so good to see clear stretches of water in the lower parts of the Taylor River once more.
