The Oak

The oak leaves are glorious at the moment as they unfurl, so fresh and green, and the branches are so black especially against the sun.  We have mostly oaks on the farm but several different species.  This year the oak is out before the ash so we are in for a splash but when the ash is out before the oak we are in for a soak!

The results of the TB test: one reactor so it will be slaughtered and the rest will be tested again in another 60 days ...... it could have been so much worse and we could have lost a lot of money but this constant testing starts to be a nuisance especially if the cattle are out at grass.
