Sea campion
Last (I think) of my holiday blips, taken last Thursday.
It seems amazing that small delicate plants like this can grow so successfully on a huge pile of large-stone shingle. Alongside it were larger poppies, sea kale and mallow, but this tiny campion was equally at home. I loved it's papery seedhead, and decided on mono to emphasise its extraordinary architecture.
To me it seems to belong to a completely different world..
