Day 3 Camino. Zubiri (22km)

After our night in the monastery in Roncesvalles, we marched on to our next destination, Zubiri. It was sunny however very chilly in the morning ( this seems to be a constant pattern). Normally, the weather heats up as we get into late morning but today seemed to be extra chilly and you forget that one is still 1000 metres above sea level so we shouldn’t feel surprised.
The last 3km of our 22km walk today was brutal - all downhill, steep and on jaggy stone. The photo is of the three of us (John, Piers and myself) taken some fellow pilgrims we met
