Hearn Field
This lovely field across the river was bequeathed to the community by a local landowner 'for the enjoyment of the parishioners'. I was attracted to the lone tree growing on the bank in the evening light, which I thought made a good composition with the pavilion and the fine looking Victorian houses behind.
We see various activities through the year. Cricket matches during the summer and frequently neat rows of tents for camps of scouts and other organisations. I think that's much better than a line of houses that might otherwise have been the situation.
