What’s the chances of a woman being voted Club Player Of The Year at a rugby club, slim I guess but we can have hope.
Last season the 1sts lost every league match and avoided relegation due to “league restructuring”, this season we avoided defeat in just four league matches and will be relegated, the men’s 2’s had a marginally better record.
The Women’s Team went from strength to strength, starting out with just a handful of players, numbers have increased, sufficient to put out a full team. Amazing team spirit, they train longer and harder than their male counterparts, party together, socialise on non rugby days, they represent rugby and their club well.
So to today’s picture, Sam training tonight, no matches planned, their season all but over but they still make the effort.
Josh, on his last night of this long weekends leave chose to spend it watching and supporting his sister.
Home after the training to Mrs S, Joshua and I packed our holdalls ready for tomorrows early get away.
