Goodbye Albania
The ship arrives in Durres, while we leave town.
Extra: Here in the port city of Durres we have stayed at hotel Vila Brais. The nearest neighbor's house looked run-down with holes in the wall on the second floor, but with business premises still ongoing on the lower floor. Take note of all the power lines that criss-cross the area. Looks deadly. Contrasts, contrasts.
At the time of writing, I am sitting in a busy and noisy airport outside Tirana, waiting for our flight to Warsaw. There we will change flight to Stockholm. And if all goes well, we arrive there at midnight. Then it will be nice to sleep in tomorrow before the train ride home south. And probably in a quiet environment without dogs barking, roosters crowing and minarets making noises. But I am not complaining, all this has contributed to a different atmosphere than at home.
