Felley Priory

Bluebell Woods are impossible to capture. To get up here it’s a sharp (and quite muddy) climb. When we arrived we were told that it was the first day they’ve been open because it’s so wet underfoot.

So magical. Breathtaking and one of the most beautiful sights you’ll ever see.
I’ve added a panoramic but even that gives no sense of the size, dreamlike quality or the colour.

There’s no substitute for visiting to see for yourself. (It’s just off the M1 north of Nottingham. Take the turning signposted for Sherwood Forest.)
