Weeks ago there was a waterproof children’s boot, purple and pink, on the retaining wall by the sidewalk by our house. 

My neighbor has a video camera at her front door because years ago people were stealing packages from doorsteps. All of our neighbors got cameras, we are one of the few houses without a front door camera. 

The day the shoe appeared on the wall some young teens came by giggling and she realized that they came by my house and were acting like they were up to something.

The shoe was then on my front steps. 

They were just being cute, lightly mischievous kids. 

I put the shoe back on the wall so whoever lost it might find it again. 

The next day she heard the kids on the video sounding confused and then they came by again and ran away. They put the shoe up by my door. 

I went to Abu Dhabi.

Monday school was closed for Passover.

Yesterday I forgot.

Today I put the shoe back on the wall with lollipops in it. 

The shoe is gone. There was a little something on the wall, in the extras. There may be no connection. Maybe someone else has lollipops. But it is ok whatever happened.
