My gigantic hosta
I was rescued. My front license plate holder was broken and I needed to replace it and there was a screw that would not come out because it was rusty. I spent 40 minutes trying to unscrew it with a special hex key and a man driving by came up, got out, and asked if I was ok. This complete stranger tried something to get the screw out, then tried another thing, then tried a third thing that worked. MY HERO!!!! If anyone knows anyone in the Maryland or Virginia area who wants a floor coating, he does polished concrete, epoxy, and vinyl. His name is Israel Garcia. His email is telmegarcia@gmail.com
55% of the military hardware Ukraine has is produced by Ukraine. 25% is from Europe and the rest of the world. 20% is from the US. An interesting thing we’ve seen is multiple countries investing in Ukraine’s domestic arm manufacturing which is smart on a number of levels. It makes Ukraine more self-reliant. When this is over, Ukraine will be a very credible seller of weapons. Europe doesn’t have a lot more hardware to donate. Ukraine is a cheaper place to manufacture. When the war is over, the EU may buy much of its hardware from Ukraine instead of the US since the US is a questionable ally. This helps an ally, cuts costs, and lets them see the weapons actually tested first. In March the EU said half of their €2 billion aid package, taken from frozen Russian assets, was to specifically help Ukraine boost its own artillery production.
Japan is providing a loan to Ukraine backed by Russian assets. $3 billion for reconstruction. The loan will be repaid by Russia’s frozen assets. Russia hates it and is calling it theft. I bet Russia will not, in the future, keep billions of its assets abroad while planning to go attack its next neighbor.
In addition, Japan has agreed to provide Ukraine with satellite geospatial data. To compensate for US action, Japan will provide Kyiv with $1 billion in support.
