Sunflowers and Sky

I took lots close ups of these flowers, because the centers form a wonderful pattern that only nature could create, but in the end, I couldn't resist the whole plant (which, by the way towers above my head.

These sunflowers sprouted from seeds dropped in the herb garden next to the bird feeders. They will dry and produce more seeds which will no doubt get dropped by the birds and sprout next year. Nothing better from this non-gardeners point of view than such self sufficient, beneficial and beautiful flowers.
