Le Pêcheur
This fisherman was really in the perfect place to be silhouetted by the sunset. I just love the colours on this, and I was more than lucky to get this shot, as the entire day and night was thundering rain bar this little reprise. I think the colours were just beautiful, nothing like a good emergency sunset!
So, it rained all day. Not particularly amazing when the event that you run every Tuesday evening is outside. Luckily, plan B of holding it in one of the recently vacated customer vans (one that we knew was going to be spotlessly clean, thank you previous family!) with a large living area was very much embraced by our attendees. We had compliments on the food made (and people actually ate it, so we were left with fewer leftovers than normal!), compliments on the cheese choices with the elder of the children trying the more adventurous cheeses as well as some of the less adventurous adults...adults enjoyed the wine, children enjoyed the separate room we had set out for them complete with board games and toys, and we even had one of our five year olds telling us it was "the best party [they] had ever been to". That had to be the best compliment!
The evening finished late, as various younger children were falling asleep in various adults' arms (I had a three year old in mine!) and so everyone stumbled walked home to bed bar Jen and I, who rather drunkenly decided that after midnight and slightly pompette was the best way to clear up a full cheese and wine evening. I haven't seen the results of that yet, but on verra!
J'ai décidé d'être heureux parce que c'est bon pour la santé.
I decided to be happy because it is good for your health
