Room for more…
The pier obviously has plans for the summer. Benches put out and kiosks being cleaned and painted. This seemed to be a concert area. Gosh, so hoping the summer arrives! We’d all decided on adding an extra layer before we left our home and no regrets there. Walking along the front to Old Hastings was bracing but mostly dry.
I love the fisherman’s end of town with the old drying huts. (Yes Helen?) The museum was worth our visit during a downpour. The East Cliff lift was closed; has been for a long time we gather. The little alleyways led to more stairs and views. The pot of cockles I bought were delicious and brought back childhood memories of the cockle sheds in Southend.
Why not stop at The White Rock Hotel for afternoon tea/ cocktail on the way home?? A Happy Hour moment.
Tonight, an Indian takeaway.
A great day. Old memories shared and new ones made. Perfect.
