Mozart's Requiem

Today we went to the City Recital Hall for a performance of Mozart's Requiem, sung by the Sydney Chamber Choir. That's some of them in the main, and in the extra is the alto. Her delivery was beautifully fluid and I imagined her to be a very relaxed person. It was a wonderful concert.

Mozart composed the Requiem in 1791 but didn't finish it because he died. One of his former students, Franz Xaver Sussmayer finished it and it remains controversial at what point Mozart stopped and Sussmayer took over.

Prior to the musical event we had lunch at Italian restaurant Ragazzi. It too was terrific.

I hope your weekend has finished up as well as mine. Have a great start to the week.
