Sunday Lunch

A lovely bright sunny day - but gratefully not too cool.
Today several of the honorary rangers who help out in th Kruger Park as fixers in many different guises, came to lunch on the farm in the farm game park.  They put on a delicious spread which we enjoyed after they'd had a drive around to see what they could find in the park. The top photo is the bbq and the view from the lodge with the mountains - part of the Drakensberg range - and the bottom is some of those visiting and the start of the lunch once the steak was cooked.  The rangers are a bunch of older men/women who have retired but love nature so give time and energy and help out those who are paid to look after the buildings etc in the KNP (Kruger National Park) and in some cases take guests out on drives etc.  They are very knowledgeable and it is great to hear their tales and listen to their stories.
All in all a very pleasant day.
