Only in Venice

Out and about in the streets today.  I mean ... where else would you find a tiny hole in the wall, up-market hand-made shoe shop, with a cellist in the doorway.  He was pretty good too.

The ovoid staircase, in extras, was designed by Palladio (born in Padua by the way - no wonder I felt an affinity to the place); and the 2nd extra is a street scene.

The Pope has been and gone - they had a live-stream at our hotel and we watched for a short time.  He does look frail.

I am going back to the yarn store.  I will enjoy it.
