Drake Eiders

I went over to the island of Stronsay today and cycled around. Plenty of sun, but still windy. I saw my first terns of the year- two common terns at the Loch of Matpow, and a couple of great skuas, but still a lot of migrants appear to have been held up by the northerly winds. I didn;t see any wheatears, for example. Lots of eiders by the ferry terminal.
