The Grand Canal

A gondola moving out into the Grand Canal in Venice is as traditional a scene as you can imagine.

The Extra is a couple I spotted enjoying the sun in a restaurant in St Stefano Square.

Our day concluded with a visit to the Accademia Gallery and this painting by Canaletto caught my eye for the second extra.
