Gardening

Finally a bit of gardening weather. The ground is reasonably dry and it’s not raining! I finished mulching the roses with some really well rotted manure. The ones I cut back really hard are sending up some shoots so I am just nurturing them in the hope that they will come back healthy.
I put the last of this year’s compost on the new potato patch as the soil there has dried to a sort of lumpy dust with mixed stones. Should be a great crop!! I put the Charlotte in there so I do hope we get something.
It was a fine evening with some late sunshine so we had a walk around the garden, but it was really too cold to linger.
I am hoping for some warmer temperatures this week……
