Biennale

Today was day 1 for the Biennale - one of the most prestigious modern art exhibitions in the world.  Naturally we headed for the Australian exhibit; partly parochial and partly because we knew it had won the award for the best exhibit.  You really need to read the explanation in Extras - it's very moving.  And blessedly quiet, not like many other exhibits we visited.  Here's a link to Rower's set.

In extras, we have the French exhibit (textiles - for FriedaQuilter of course), plus a street scene; a serene back water; and an arty shot of bricks being eaten away by salt damp.
