Tuesday: Gardening

Started off some Purple podded peas in a tub with the surviving Cosmos seedlings around the edge and a few Calendula “Pacific Beauty” between them. I’ve rigged a net “tent” from old net curtain and some wire, with plastic clothes pegs to hold everything in place - 12°C seems to be perfect for slugs and snails to reappear … in abundance :-((

This afternoon I tidied up half of the deep bed behind the greenhouse, soil was perfect for planting/sowing so I’ve put in 2 rows of onions, one of carrots and two of flowers - seeds kept from last year’s Honesty

and another of wildflowers, finally feels like Spring!!
