Welcome to May!
Beautiful sunny warm morning.
I did a bit of weeding in the flower beds. We ate our lunch in the summerhouse, first time this year.
Coffees were drunk sitting at the patio table.
The grandchildren had their tea in the garden yesterday like a picnic.
They wanted to make some tents so I provided them with two very large green plastic covers which are used during the winter in the garage to store the patio chair covers and one which was originally the covering of a new mattress, which I saved after it had been delivered and unpacked.
One large tent for three was made using various outdoor chairs then covered with the sheets. And a smaller one using a folding clothes airer propped against the hedge plus a chair. They brought a little table and a stool from indoors to use as “tables”. These were put to good use.
Giant outdoor Jenga was used making towers to see how tall they could be without falling down.
So good that they could be outdoors. Our youngest granddaughter planted a packet of nasturtiums round the new Apple tree, using a trowel whilst sitting on the grass. She did this so well.
We have a big box in the garage of outdoor garden games.
But I have to say I have been quite tired today! I didn’t make it to Pilates early afternoon!
Now time for tea, and our friend is coming for her dinner, (we had ours at lunchtime) after work.
I hope you’ve had sunshine where you are today.
